This past October, HeimLantz CPAs and Advisors participated in a winter coat drive for a classroom sponsorship through The Child and Family Network Centers (CFNC). Over the course of a week, HeimLantz team members collected 14 coats and more than a dozen hats and gloves for children located near Alexandria Virginia, that benefit from the charity’s community outreach.

“I am proud of our staff for donating to such an important cause,” said Carter Heim, CEO of HeimLantz. “We are grateful CFNC reached out to us to sponsor one of their classrooms for this drive. We were able to provide some of their students with much needed winter wear for the upcoming season.”

The Child and Family Centers mission is to provide caring, high-quality, free early education and related services to at-risk children and their families in their own neighborhoods in order to prepare them for success in school and life. Free, early education and comprehensive services are provided in eight classrooms in communities that have the highest concentrations of families living in poverty in Alexandria, VA.

HeimLantz team members were excited for the opportunity to support these students. HeimLantz participates weekly in fundraising to help improve the community around them. They were honored for the chance to work with this organization making a direct impact on the families in the Alexandria, Virginia area.
