With recent changes to both personal and business tax rates, itemized deductions, personal exemptions, tax credits, and many other items, CPA, Amy Smith and other team members from local accounting firm, HeimLantz, have been presenting the new tax law information to the community. During the seminars to various law firms, bankers, and other community groups, firm representatives including CPAs, Andrew Hippler and Daniel Russell, cover the former tax law compared to the new tax law under the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.

“We are volunteering our time to help business owners and people who work with business owners understand how the new tax law will affect them,” says Amy Smith.  “If we’re not educating our business community now, then our colleagues might miss out on planning opportunities and be caught off guard when it’s too late to take action. We want to be proactive and plant seeds for thought and action.”

The proactive decision to educate the community falls in line with the firm’s purpose of Making Lives Better. HeimLantz strives to collaborate in order to build strong relationships with current and future clients.

HeimLantz has been happy to work with the following community partners so far: MacKenzie Commerical Real Estate Services, LLC, AABA Family Law Committee Meeting at the Circuit Court, and most recently the AACIA, where HeimLantz, CEO, Carter Heim also spoke about business coaching services offered through HeimLantz.
