Local public accounting and business advisory firm, HeimLantz, is pleased to share that CPAs Josh Price and Andrew Hippler, and staff accountants Drew Lantz and Stephen Fridell recently attended the 2017 Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA) Employee Benefit Plan Conference on May 15th.

The MACPA was founded in 1901; their stated mission is, “We exist to help our members connect in strategic ways, protect their professional interests, and achieve in their careers.” The MACPA offers opportunities for CPAs to enhance their professional growth, such as the recent Employee Benefit Plan Conference. This conference gave attendees the opportunity to hear from and connect with both representatives from the Department of Labor and leading experts in matters relating to employee benefits plans (e.g. 401k, ESOP, etc.).
Josh Price is a Manager at HeimLantz, specializing in audit, tax and advisory services; he has been with the firm since 2012. He holds an Associate of Science degree in business administration from Anne Arundel Community College and a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Johns Hopkins University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the MACPA.
Andrew Hippler, staff accountant, has been with HeimLantz since 2014. He holds a Financial Accounting Certificate from Anne Arundel Community College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Towson University. He is a member of the AICPA and the MACPA.
Drew Lantz, staff accountant, has been with HeimLantz since February 2017, when he started as an intern.
Stephen Fridell worked as an intern at HeimLantz before being hired as a staff accountant in 2015. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Salisbury University. He is a member of the AICPA and the MACPA.
