Get to Know Kathi
In another life, Kathi was probably a teacher. The best piece of advice Kathi has ever been given is to respect your resources. Kathi’s favorite holiday is Halloween because of the creative costumes and scary movies. The most inspiring part of Kathi’s job is working in an environment with a team of professionals who care about our clients and each other. We have a family friendly culture. Three items on Kathi’s bucket list are traveling to the Bahamas by boat, flying to Hawaii, and exploring the Smokey Mountains.
BIO
Kathi has almost two decades of experience in the billing industry. Prior to joining HeimLantz, Kathi worked for a local DC-area law firm. Responsible for client billing and collections, she also provides client assistance pertaining to payment inquiries and accounts receivable. In addition to client billing, Kathi has years of bookkeeping experience and assists with pricing services when needed. She enjoys collaborating between clients and team members to resolve issues and respond to inquiries. Kathi initially went to college to be a teacher, but her professional career turned to bookkeeping and billing services when encouraged by a collogue to give it a try. She has a passion for learning new technology and software. Kathi excels at training others in these customized programs. Though her professional interest changed, Kathi remains involved in education. She advocates for public schools and parent involvement. She served as PTA President and various board positions at elementary and middle school. She also raised an Eagle Scout which lead to serving as Treasurer for Boy Scout Troop 366. Kathi attributes her success to her favorite mentors – her parents – who both worked full-time teaching strong work ethic. When her work and family schedules permit, Kathi appreciates amusement parks and scary movies. However, most often when she has free time, she can be found on the soccer fields watching her kids play on their high school and college soccer teams. She enjoys boating on the Chesapeake Bay in the summer and skiing in the winter. Kathi and her husband, Richard, reside in Annapolis, where they raise two children and two cats.
