A dedicated and helpful professional, Amy’s hard work and willingness to do what needs to be done are the sources of her career success. Raised on a small farm in Wisconsin, Amy’s parents instilled in her the value of hard work and the benefit of doing things right the first time—lessons that she has since applied to her professional life. After retiring from the Navy following ten years of service (1999-2009, E-6), Amy returned to school. She chose to study accounting because she’s always loved numbers and because she was inspired by her high school accounting teacher.
As a staff accountant, Amy works on both tax and assurance engagements. She has yet to develop a specific specialty, but rather helps out in a variety of areas, including tax work, compilations, and reviews of financial statements.
Amy grew up in Wisconsin, but also spent time living in Japan, when she was 18. Amy now resides in Lexington Park, Maryland with her husband, Michael. Together they have four children, Karina, Calvin, Adleigh, and Chadrik. Amy’s favorite hobbies include fishing, sewing, and doing remodeling projects.
