BIO
Known among her teammates as a hardworking and level-headed professional, Mary Ann has served in the accounting field for nearly four decades. Over the years, she has come to understand the chief importance of being responsive and communicative with clients. She strives to always be diligent in finding answers to the challenges that she, her clients, and her team members face.
Mary Ann joined HeimLantz in 2019 via its merger with Murray, Wamsley & Schrader, LLC, a firm at which she had worked since 1994. A versatile professional, she works in both audit and tax, serving mostly small- to medium-sized businesses, as well as nonprofits and government contractors. She specializes in assisting new business entities and completing business corporate tax returns.
Raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Mary Ann is one of nine children. Being part of a large family, Mary Ann learned the importance of good budgeting from an early age. Her parents also stressed education and community service. These days, Mary Ann lives in St. Mary’s County, Maryland—an area that she likes for its beautiful waterfront and active business and arts communities. Outside of the office, Mary Ann enjoys following sports (especially Pittsburgh teams), going to the beach, listening to music, and spending time with her granddaughter.
