Get to know Amy

Amy’s favorite place is the lake; there’s nothing better than a peaceful day of fishing, especially when you can reel in a 7-pound largemouth!

Amy’s favorite holiday is Christmas because it’s the one time of year she gets to travel to Wisconsin to visit with family.

The most inspiring part is of her job is when a client expresses appreciation for hard work and effort. It’s nice to know that clients can understand how complex some situations are and their acknowledgement is very motivating.

BIO

A dedicated and helpful professional, Amy’s hard work and willingness to do what needs to be done are the sources of her career success. Raised on a small farm in Wisconsin, Amy’s parents instilled in her the value of hard work and the benefit of doing things right the first time—lessons that she has since applied to her professional life. After leaving the Navy following ten years of service (1999-2009, E-6), Amy returned to school. She chose to study accounting because she’s always loved working with numbers, and it was her favorite class in high school.

As a senior accountant, Amy’s main focus is on tax engagements. She performs tax work for individuals and businesses, to include C-Corps, S-Corps, Partnerships, and Non-Profits. Amy also works with government contract accounting.

Amy grew up in Wisconsin but traveled the world while serving in the Navy. Amy now resides in Lexington Park, Maryland with her husband, Michael. Together they have four children. Amy’s favorite hobbies include fishing, reading, and sewing.
