When she was a kid, Maysarah wanted to be a chef. Her favorite channel growing up was The Food Network.
If Maysarah chose another career, she would likely be a Foreign Service Office.
BIO
Maysarah joined the HeimLantz team as a tax intern in January of 2021. Upon completing the internship, she was welcomed to the team in a fulltime capacity. She currently serves as a staff accountant.
An adaptable professional, prior to entering the accounting field, Maysarah acquired experience in a variety of areas including sales, marketing, and business intelligence. While in school, she was fortunate to have two professors who were CPAs and were passionate about the field of accounting. They encouraged and inspired her to work towards her accounting certificate. Maysarah finds inspiration for her professional life in her favorite quote, which comes from Maya Angelou: “Success is liking yourself, liking what you do, and liking how you do it.”
A resident of Silver Spring, Maryland, Maysarah loves the area for its diversity—it is one of the most diverse cities in the United States! In her free time, she enjoys biking, cooking, traveling, and reading. Her favorite podcast is Freakonomics. When she has the opportunity to travel, Maysarah’s favorite destination is Sylhet, Bangladesh.
